Your 1st Steps to a Successful Real Estate Career
Michael retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals in 1999 after 20 years of service. At BMS, he performed many different jobs including training of new employees on computer systems and platforms used by the company. After several years in the Northeast, he really wanted to move back to his Southern roots.
In August of 1999 he purchased a property in the Historic District of Savannah and opened the “Fox House Inn”, a small intimate B&B, with a large and dedicated following. Owning and operating his own B&B had been a life long dream; as was understanding that his B&B was not just a business but an extension of his home.
After selling the Inn in 2002 to fund his nephew's college education at Savannah College of Art & Design, Michael became a REALTOR®. As education has always been foremost in his career decisions, Michael became a real estate school Administrator and then a certified Instructor for Georgia Salesperson Pre-License.
Michael has been an active member of the Georgia Real Estate Educators Association (GREEA) since 2005. This organization leads the state in ensuring the real estate professionals and those who wish to become REALTOR®'s, receive the most comprehensive training available from changes in our License Law to new and innovating ways to teaching real estate.
Michael says, "When I see a student's excitement that they understand a certain topic, I truly am excited and thrilled for that student, but when I hear that a past student has not only acheived their license, but they are making a name for themselves in real estate, I feel truly blessed, that I may have had some small part in their success".
