Course Requirements for Pre-license and Broker Course:
There are several different criteria that must be met to qualify and sit for your Georgia Salesperson or Georgia Broker exam. Here are the required qualifications according to the Georgia Real Estate Commission:
GA Salesperson Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school diploma or the equivalent
Be a resident of Georgia (unless applying for reciporcity)
Complete and pass the approved 75 hour Pre-license course
Be of good moral character
Pass the GA State examination
Obtain a Georgia Criminal Investigation Report
GA Broker Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age
Have a high school diploma or the equivalent
Be a resident of Georgia (unless applying for resiporicity)
Held an active Salesperson license for at least three (3) years
Complete and pass the approved 60 hour Pre-license course or present proof of equivalent education
Be of good moral character
Pass the GA State examination
Obtain a Georgia Criminal Investigation Report
GA Salesperson Post License Requirement
Each newly licensed salesperson is required to complete an approved 25 hour Post License course within the first 12 months of being licensed. They must also complete the remaining hours of Continuing Education required by the Georgia Real Estate Commission during the remaining four (4) year licensing period.
GA Salesperson / Broker Continuing Education Requirement
Any GA Salesperson or Broker whose license number is greater than 100,000 must maintain thirty-six (36) hours of Continuing Education as required by the Georgia Real Estate Commission during each four (4) year licensing period.
